Ways to Help

The adoption process is one that requires us to step out on faith and be stretched in ways that are out of our comfort zone. I am the first to admit that although I enjoy being able to help others, I am not very good at asking for help.  We are so very thankful that we have the means to provide for another child’s daily needs; however, the reality is there is a substantial amount of money needed to bring this child home. The estimated total adoption expense comes to right under $40,000!  (I will post a detailed fees break down for you later just so you can see exactly where the money is going and hopefully have a better understanding of the international adoption process too).

Here are some ways in which you can help:

 Financially

•   You can donate towards our adoption expenses by clicking on the “Donate” button on this -----> side of our blog.  This is a PayPal button so they will keep approximately 2.9% of every donation and will also take out a $0.30 fee per transaction.

•  You can write a check and mail it to us (message us through the contact page for our address)

•  You can even gather gently used clothing items to donate through our thredUP group here.  In a nutshell, you order a bag from thredUP, fill it up and ship it back to them (all at no expense to you).  ThredUP accepts women's (including plus size), maternity, juniors, and kids pieces as well as shoes and handbags that are all in "like new" condition.  There are certain restrictions such as no infant clothing under 12 months or children’s shoes under a 4 1/2---you can read all about their guidelines here.  It’s a pretty easy process that will cost you nothing, but can help us out in a huge way.

Prayer

• Pray that the process goes smoothly, for our little one that is already out there somewhere just waiting on us, for safe travels.....

Encouragement

• This will be a long 12-18 months process with many highs and lows along the way.  Send us a note, Bible verse or other uplifting message from time to time.
